An experience from the binder chooser (me)
the conio group: (staring at a paris hilton inspired binder)
conio 1:god this is cute! but its so argh (ano daw?!)
conio 2: how about this oh! its so simple!
conio 1: come on lets choose something girly..
conio 2: (takes a look at the dog model binder) puppies! i think ill get this
the hurried group (a lesbian and her guy friend)
Lesbian: dali ayan na o (gets a binder with the products logo on it)
guy friend: yan na?
Lesbian: yan na! sige na ano pa kailangan mo?
guy friend: teka gusto ko pink e
Lesbian: anong pink? black sana!
guy friend: gets a pink binder (huh????)
Bunch of weirdoes! haha! After staring at some grafitti inspired covered binders, I decided to get a preppy looking cover. One that Harvard students can bare with. (feeling ko naman sa harvard ako nagaaral. ang gago). First time in the history of my student life. My school supplies didn't exceed 500php! Just a binder, a small handy dandy notebook, yellow pad, g-tech pilot pen and an orange stabilo boss (the trusted color and brand ^__^).
I miss those days when I had to buy the notebooks accordingly. Think 11 subjects is equivalent to 11 notebooks. Then I have to brave the Golden bell crowd to look for my favorite cartoons on the note book cover. Every year I had to choose a theme for my school supplies!

Grade 1: Lion King! (my mom and uncle bought the stuffs for me in manila)
- 1994 was the year when Lion king stuffs where selling like hot cakes! Most of my things where themed with it.
simba and nala activity book --- with all the mazes and puzzle

my sister and I had matching lion king out fits --- with matching high cut shoes pa yun na leather baduy!
Simba coin bank --- na detable ang pwet ng leon kaya wala akong naiipon na coins dahil.. binubuksan ko agad pwet ni simba pag feeling ko naka sampung piso na ako
Simba, Pumba and timon posters ---ayos! feeling ko jungle din kwarto ko oh!
Lion king bed sheets --- whohooo! kaya ang dream ko ako daw ang prinepresenta sa PRIDE ROCK haha!)
Lion king ball pens ---yun ang lagi kong gamit pag nakikipag racing ako sa pagsulat ng lessons kasama sina mark baro at sven knuttle non!
Lion King Soundtrack Cassette tape --- Na laging pineplay sa bahay kung weekend! Dinig ata ng buong subdivision sa lakas at laki ba naman ng speakers.
Kaya no wonder kung pakakantahin niyo ko ngayon ng mga kanta sa tape na yun, huwag na kayo magulat kung kabisado ko pa!

Grade 4: I got a binder this time. For the Morning Subjects Looney Tunes binder cover. For the Afternoon subjects Garfield binder Cover.
Grade 5: Back to Notebooks! Di ako natuwa kasi nawawala yung mga filler sa binder ko kung hinihiram ng classmates ko ang notebook. Gahd! Anyways, Snoopy theme!
Grade 6: Got a JERET binder! The cover was a display of the Planets? haha!
The fun doesn't end there. Aside from having to choose the theme, I have to label each notebook with the subjects! My most favorite part! haha!

The snoopy era:
Science --- snoopy na may hawak na test tube
Christian Life Education (CLE) --- snoopy na may ka-hug na babaeng snoopy (relihiyoso na si snoopy sa lagay na yun!)
Sibika --- snoopy na nakasakay sa kotse
Math --- snoopy na nagsusulat ng numero sa black board
English --- snoopy na may dalang libro
Homeroom Guidance --- si snoopy na nasa loob ng malaking heart na pula
The Lion king era:
Science --- simba nakatingin sa forest
CLE --- simba and nala na mukhang nagmamahalan
Sibika --- si simba na naglalakad sa globe
di ko na maalala yung iba..

Okay after National Book store, next stop was fully booked in the block. I got a Tsubasa Manga for a friend's birthday. I had a hard time looking for the manga section since it wasn't on display.
Next stop was KFC had merienda but before that I happened to pass by a new stall just near KFC the block. its named SanFo treats? Im not sure on the treats but Im quite sure the first name was SanFo.. They have this fruits particularly apples and bananas dipped with caramel, chocolate, rice crispies, M & M's and other delightful sweets. Price ranges from 25php for chocolate coated bananas with funky chewies and 50-80php for apples. Here are simple steps on how to deal with your kind of treat.
Then after window shopping in the block. We went out of the mall, crossed the street and where of to another mall. Trinoma! Was able to catch Maricris Garcia singing 'tatooed on my mind' for those of you who have no idea on who she is, shes the new Pinoy Pop Superstar champ! Wasn't a big fan though just taught I should try watching it just in time for the finals since nino a childhood friend was too engrossed with it. Not bad. Except for the flowered mic on the finals haha!
Ate dinner in chowking and bought a couple of good books in National book store. I think I will be saving for Paulo Coehlo's new book 'the witch of portobello' did I get that right? Oh well..
