No doubt today was an action packed day! (ack?!)
Started my day early. 8:15am again, I was waked by my uncle who said breakfast was ready.
Haven't experience breakfast for weeks now. Its great to be greeted by scrumptious food
and my uncles horror story. Thats verse I of the action packed day. My uncle was claiming that he saw a dementor like figure (Dementors: creatures who guard Azkaban, sucks out the prisoner's soul). For muggles like us.. i mean HUMAN.. its like a grim reaper only that the one my uncle saw was ax-less (with out an ax). It stood by our fence's barb wire and flew to my grand ma's roof. Said he saw it when he got home late at about 11pm from a dine out in Cena's in Greenbelt.
Well, I haven't seen it yet but I think that creature was the one responsible for putting the lights on our front door last night. Creepy. Well, uncle told me that the creature won't harm me since I do not have a fully opened third eye. (In my case: I only see our dead relatives). Uncle was 'Alamagung' (a person who has the sixth sense in our dialect) since he was three years old.
Well enough of that. Continuing todays action packed day story. I left house at 9:30am and took the MRT from North Edsa to Taft-rotonda. I was lucky to had grabbed a seat or else I will suffer from leg pains all the way to TAFT (ends of manila). After the MRT i took the LRT to tayuman.
Tayuman- the place where drug stores and medical supplies were countless and supplies where sold cheap and prices can be HAGGLED! (^-^ thanks kahla for the company)
So I took the train. The train was new! It had been a long time since I rode a train in that area. Maybe already a year ago that it was only now that I knew that their trains where as new as the recto-santolan LRT trains! :)
Arrived in Tayuman before 11:30 and off we go. Got my supplies. Kahla haggled plus I bought myself a pipet too. Its good to train yourself at home for the demonstration. (haha!)
Journeyed through the roads of Tayuman and Bambang. Met some dead cats and wandering poops, sputums filled with flies (normal we've seen worse but despite of that I still managed to shriek a bit) and rotten AVOCADOES scattered in the sidewalk. Just in time when my friend kahla was telling me that she bought avocadoes during the weekend. HAHA! Store hopped, argued with annoying 'tinderas', haggled and laughed at a mother and her daughter looking for a skeleton model (seriously. those found in Laboratories haha!)
Accomplishment: bought Vacutainers, Vacutainer needles, Adapter, Cotton, Containers, Pipette, bulb, torniquet etc.
Tiring! The journey ended at 3pm. I got back to the Tayuman Platform and headed to EDSA once again. It was when I arrived in the connecting bridge to Taft MRT that I realized that my foot looked like my foot was owned by a 'taong-grasa' great.. to describe it.. it was black. So I headed to the bathroom.
LESSON LEARNED: do not use flip flops when traveling to the ends of Manila.
