Merely staring at the picture makes me sad.
The picture clearly depicts my life.
Every year I have to say goodbye to my father.
And wish that he will come back again. Soon.
Our father-daughter relationship isn’t perfect. Neither half perfect. Or one-fourth perfect. Unlike any father daughter relationship there is ours is completely different. He loved the sea even before I came in to this world. Mom introduced my dad to me through the over seas phone calls he used to make to make his self known to me. He had the weirdest idea on making me love ALF (alien life formation) and making that brown scary long nosed creature aka alien my childhood mascot.
Ever since I got in college, I see him for a maximum of 1 week here in manila for the rest of his stay he chose to spend it in the comforts of our real house back there in our hometown.
Remembering dad he was always the shellfish-feast-loving dad, extravagant at times and very (to the extremes) generous.
He got used to an explicit life in the high class shipping companies he works with. Dad, not armed with a good skill on English managed to survive the tremendous language barrier he has to experience with the foreigners.
For short Dad was absolutely imperfect.
Belated happy fathers day.
I am Sorry for not greeting you.
I am downloading tracks from van halen and flaming lips and did I mention Elliot yamin?
I may look like an emo to some (yea thanks to violent reactions on my YM pic as if emo’s are outcast) but I listen to varied genre’s. I don’t always dwell on depressing screamos hahaha!
